Obituary for Veronica Steele

God saw the hills were getting hard to climb, so he gently closed your weary eyes and whispered "Peace Be Thine,". Miss Veronica Lee Steele, 73, daughter of the late Anna Williams Wiggins (Shanky), went across the threshold of time to eternal rest on Monday, March 13 in Rochester, New York.

The breath of life was blown into her and she started this earthly life on July 13, 1949 in New York, NY. She
was raised in Early Branch, SC where she attended Wilkerson Baptist Church, and graduated from North District High School in 1968.

Veronica lived most of her life in Early Branch until she moved to Rochester, NY to be close to her mother and
brother in Rochester. Veronica retired as a state of New York employee after working many years taking care of those that were either physically or mentally challenged that live in NY State housing within the community.

On this side of life, she leaves to mourn her only daughter, Cassadra Maria Steele (San) and two
grandsons, Javon Ravenelle and Malcolm Steele of Rochester, Ny and a brother, Albert R. Wiggins (Ricky) of Early Branch, SC as well as several other loving family and friends.
