Obituary for Carleton W. Morris

Carleton W. Morris was born July 13, 1960 in Fort Fairfield, Maine to Ulas Morris and Josie
Morris.
He completed school through a GED program.

At the time of his passing, he was an employee of Wegman’s Par Bake Department.

Prior to moving back to Rochester, where he was raised, Carleton lived in the Bay Area of California for over 30 years. He became a tow truck driver there, and he loved it. Carleton was well-known for helping people. He had an unmatched work ethic, and the companies he worked for greatly appreciated it. Carleton was highly proficient in his role and was recognized multiple times for outstanding customer service and a high level of professionalism. He appreciated every opportunity given to him, and he made some great friends in California. His customer service skills were unbelievable.

Carleton had a love for music, and he loved to dance. He loved football (Raiders) and basketball (Warriors). He had many interests including: coin collecting, restoring cars, fishing with his good friend, Dave K., and reading almost anything that would give him insight or increase his knowledge. Carleton could fix just about anything. He naturally stood out, not only because of his stature, but because of his moral standards. No one could make him sway from those standards. He was a spiritual man and had strong faith in God. Carleton loved his family and was extremely close to his eldest sister, Patricia, whom he referred to as his “second mom”. He had many many achievements on his life journey, but if you were to ask him what his greatest accomplishments were, he’d tell you, his daughter, Melissa and the young man he raised, Derek.

Carleton passed away Saturday March 11, 2023, at Strong Memorial Hospital, surrounded by loved ones. Carleton left behind: his fiancée, Beth Carter; daughter, Melissa Barrison; son, Derek Super (Sara Super); four grandchildren: Gabriela Super, Hazel Super, Jocelyn Super and Derek Super Jr.; four sisters: Patricia Mims, Karen Morris, Verna Morris, Alicia (Lisa) Morris- Stamps (Rodney Stamps), and one brother, Wayne Tyson. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
