Obituary for Lila Williams

Lila Mae Williams was born December 13, 1950 in Penn Yan, New York. She was the daughter of Lila E. Williams and Buster Williams. The family later moved to Rochester, New York where Lila was raised.

Lila loved watching her soaps. Her favorites were The Young and the Restless" and The Bold and the Beautiful." You didn't want to interrupt her when her soaps were on. Among her favorite actors was Shemar Moore.

She also liked reading the newspaper on a daily basis. As a costconscious individual, she particularly enjoyed reading the Sunday papers so she could get those money-saving coupons. A lover of gospel music, she would often listen to Sunday Morning Gospel while clipping her coupons and reading the paper. Also among her favorite past times. was solving puzzles and looking through magazines for recipes she could cut out and prepare, or sites to purchase clothing from the comfort of her home.

Lila adored her family and was a true "people person." She received great pleasure from reaching out to others on holidays through cards, especially at Christmas and on Valentine's Day, even birthdays, which she always remembered. She would send cards to family and friends, not only to celebrate holidays and occasions, but she also sent "any time" cards for no reason. She just wanted to let loved ones know they were in her heart and on her mind. Lila will be remembered for her sense of humor and being amusing in her own way.

Lila transitioned her earthly life March 5, 2021 leaving to cherish her memory: children: David Williams, Phillip Flowers Jr., Charmane, Darryl, Shanekka, Maurice, Tyrone, Jerald. and Laquinta Flowers; grandchildren: Tristian Flowers, Dasia Williams, Shaniya Porter, Javier Flowers, Jahmeir White, Rahmaza, Kamari. Tyrone Flowers Jr., Bre'naysia and Constance Fuller, Ameer Flowers, Tymeir and Deyceon Williams, Neveah and Royal Rotan-Flowers. Kori and Azaria Flowers, and a host of other relatives and friends.
