Obituary for John B. Goff Jr.
Mr. John Benjamin “Benji” Goff Jr. was born May 12, 1962 in Palmetto Florida. He was the youngest son of the Late John Goff Sr. and Mrs. Queen Esther Dennis. In 1966 John’s Family moved to Rochester, New York, where he attended Clara Barton School #2 and Madison Sr. High School.
In his Adult Life John worked for various Asphalt and Construction companies, for as long as his health would allow.
In 2006 he united in Marriage to Sherrie Birmingham. In 2006 John also gave his life to Christ at a Revival at the Progressive Church Of God In Christ. John joined Renewal of Life Church Of God In Christ, where his brother Marshall served as a Minister, under the leadership of Pastor Jeffery Simmons.
John who everyone called Benji had a sense of humor with a million dollar smile. He was a giving person, who loved his family.
On March 23, 2020 at 8:55 am our beloved Benji entered into eternal rest. He was pre-deceased by his Father John Goff Sr., his Mother Queen Dennis, Sister Rhoda Goff, and Brother Larry Goff. His life will be cherished forever by his 1 daughter and 2 sons. Tanisha Goff, Joron Goff and Michael Carter. 3 Bonus Children by his dear friend Ada Sheirod. James Wright, Jasmine Sheirod, and Jazzlin Sheirod. He also leaves 3 Brothers Ralph Goff of Tampa Fl., Alex (Willa Mae)Goff of Charleston SC., and Marshall (Joanna)Goff of Rochester NY. 2 Sisters Evelyn Goff of Tampa Fl. and Sheryl James of Rochester, NY. 1 Sister in Love Joyce Goff of Las Vegas NV.
Several Special Friends (Former wife) Sherrie Birmingham, Sandra Graham, Vanessa Scott and Sandra Matthew. 6 Aunts, 2 Uncles, 14 Grandchildren, 1 Expectant Great Grandchild. A Host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
