Henrietta Mae Waller ( Hennie Hen)
Henrietta Waller was born on February 07, 1933 to the parents of late Viola and Amos King in Saint Petersburg, Florida. She is the last of four deceased sibling: Pauline (Oliver), Nathaniel (Helen), Henrietta, and Betty King. Henrietta attended Gibbs High School in Pinellas County, Saint Petersburg Florida.
Henrietta met and married Edward Waller (deceased) in February 1951. They were married 47 years. Of this union were born three son: Edward Waller Jr., Gregory Waller (Corrine), Theodore Waller (deceased); four daughters: Gloria Waller-Davis (Leroy-deceased); E. Faye Waller, Joyce Waller-Mitchell (Dwayne), and Glendaye Waller. Henrietta also raised two grandchildren: Devin Terrell Green and Rashada Denise Green. She has 15 Grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren; and 12 great/great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; including family & friends.
Henrietta and Edward relocated from Saint Petersburg Florida to Rochester New York. She worked at Speedy’s and Silver Cleaners as a Pressure for 30 plus years. She was a loving mother and spiritual example for each and every one who knew her. She enjoyed gardening and household plants. She was known for having a “green” thumb. She also had a gift in cooking and baking: sweet potato pies and bread pudding. She was a Proverb 31 Women in all aspects. She exemplified Luke 12:34 > For where your treasure is there your heart will be also in trusting Jesus.
Henrietta was a spiritual God fearing woman all her life and this was evident in her Ministry at First Genesis Church – as Mother Waller
Mother Waller was a faithful servant in the Ushers and Missionary Ministries. She enjoyed ushering even after her stroke in 1996. She faithfully continued to serve with the missionaries wearing her white on first Sundays. She had a sense of humor that always brought a smile. She had a big heart. She received numerous awards from the ministries she served faithfully. She enjoyed traveling and cruising with the Ushers. She especially loved Rev. Simpson who visited her often and Rev. Manor who was her president for both ushers and missionary.
