Obituary for Harry Epps
The Journey for Harry Epps began on July 8, 1940 in Kingstree, South Carolina to the late Wilmont and Emma(Frierson) Epps. Harry attended school in Kingstree, SC.
At 19 years old, Harry left Kingstree, South Carolina and moved to Rochester, New York in 1959. Here, Harry married his first wife, Katie Epps and raised his five children. While living in Rochester, Harry was respectfully employed and retired from General Motors after 32 years. Later in life, he married Flora Epps.
Harry loved to barbeque with his friends and family. He enjoyed making those around him laugh and smile. He also enjoyed watching wrestling on tv. He always made sure his company had a good time. Harry was a very giving person, he helped numerous family members and friends.
Harry is predeceased by his Wife, Flora Epps. Two sons, Christopher Washington and Keith Epps, two brothers Vernard Epps and Leroy(Lilian) Epps. Harry’s journey ended on June 29, 2019 at Unity Hospital in Rochester, New York. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his Daughters: Yvette Sellars, Yvonne Epps, and Yolynda MacMillan. Brother: David(Jacqueline) Epps. Grandchildren: Tia Epps, Qiana(Barry) Lockhart, Starr Donner, Ronnell Sellars, Arcadio MacMillan Jr. , Cherice MacMillan, Angela Sellars, Andrea(Frankie) Sellars-Sanchez, Chanele MacMillan, Daryous MacMillan and DyAshia MacMillan. Four Great-Grand Children and One Aunt, Ida Pendergrass. A dear friend Billie Simmons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
